Why parents book

It's usually one small thing

You were told to wait and see. You waited. You saw.

She still can't work the scissors, and everyone else in her class can.
He has plenty of words. He just never puts two of them together.
She goes completely silent with anyone who isn't me.
We get through the whole day and then lose it right before dinner.
What it is

Coaching for you. A plan for your child.

Parent coaching is not therapy for your child. It's a working session for the person doing the other 167 hours of the week.

You meet, not your child

Thirty minutes by video, evenings and weekends. Your child doesn't need to be there or sit still for anything.

You learn what to do

Specific strategies for one goal, using the toys, food, and routines already in your house. No equipment to buy.

You keep the plan

Written up after every session. Yours to keep, and it makes your next pediatrician appointment far more useful.

Clinical expertise, made practical

Advice that fits your actual life

Your coach brings the same clinical eye they use with children every week. Then they help you turn it into something that works at your kitchen table, during bath time, or in the five minutes before school.

Who your coach is

A licensed therapist, every time

Not a certified coach. Not a parenting consultant. Every Coral Care parent coach is a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP), occupational therapist (OT), or physical therapist (PT) who treats kids your child's age every week and has completed Coral Care's coaching training program to bring that same clinical eye to your family.

Straight about what this is

Coaching is for you. Your coach teaches you what to do and gives you a plan you can follow. They will not evaluate or diagnose your child, because that is a different appointment and it deserves to be treated as one.

Coaching happens by video because it's a conversation between two adults. Therapy for your child is different. When kids need hands-on care, we send a therapist to your home, in person, never over a screen.

Questions parents ask first

How is this different from other parent coaching?

Most parent coaches are parents who went through something similar, or people who took a coaching certification. Ours are licensed therapists who see kids your child's age every week. They know what is typical, what is worth watching, and what is worth acting on.

Do I need a diagnosis or referral first?

No. Any family can start, whether or not your child has already been evaluated or screened.

Can I really use my FSA or HSA?

Yes. We accept FSA and HSA cards at checkout and you'll get an itemized receipt for your records.

Is this the same as an evaluation?

No. An evaluation is a formal assessment of your child that produces a report. Coaching is for you. Your coach will tell you honestly if she thinks an evaluation is worth pursuing.

What ages is this for?

Roughly 18 months through 6 years. That is the stretch where parents notice the most and get told to wait the most.

Do I have to live near you?

No. Coaching is by video, so it works anywhere. If your child needs hands-on therapy, we'll tell you plainly whether we cover your area.

Does my child need to be on the call?

Usually not. Most sessions are just you.

What if I need more than four sessions?

You can book another bundle. Nothing renews automatically, so you decide at the end rather than at the start.

Bring us the small thing.

Four sessions, $250, and someone who knows exactly what they're looking at.

FSA and HSA accepted. Nothing renews on its own.
